Capturing the Heart of a Renovation: Interior Photography & My Tunbridge Wells Project

Happy Tuesday! I hope you all had a lovely long bank holiday weekend here in the UK.

Starting a new business is never easy—and as an interior designer, so much of our work comes down to how we share what we do. It’s one thing to complete a project you’ve poured your heart into, but it’s another to capture it in a way that truly reflects the creativity, detail, and vision behind it.

Last week, I had the absolute pleasure of working with the incredibly talented @johnknightphotography to photograph one of my most meaningful projects to date: a full renovation of a 1960s house in Tunbridge Wells. This home has been completely reimagined—inside and out—and I couldn’t have asked for a better day to shoot. The sunshine, blooming garden, and perfect lighting made all the difference.

What John managed to capture through his lens truly exceeded my expectations. Every small detail, material, and styling choice was brought to life in a way that tells the story of the home’s transformation. From the architectural lines to the way light plays on surfaces, his photography shows just how far this house has come—and how much care went into every decision.

These images are just a glimpse into what’s possible when you restore and redesign with intention. A once-tired mid-century home has now become a warm, modern, and timeless space that respects its original character while offering something fresh and considered for the family who lives there.

I’m so grateful to John for his incredible eye and dedication. And I’m excited to start sharing more of this project with you all very soon.

Thanks for following along—there’s so much more to come!

My goal was simple - Keep it Natural, keep it honest. Modernising the architecture while letting the materials speak for themselves

The exterior redesign brings together clean lines with textured, earthy finishes - Striking a balance between warmth and contemporary simplicity.
